Traveling through northern Spain, I discover new colors, stories, and inspiration for my next art collection—where nature and creativity meet.
The summer has ended, and today the rain pours steadily down my windows. My favorite walk along the beach will have to wait, but I don’t mind—the heat has finally lifted, and I feel a gentle invitation to step outside my studio bubble of paint, brushes, and canvases.
This month marks an exciting new chapter as I begin building my artist portfolio with a new collection. To create space for fresh ideas, I need perspective—to step back, breathe, and let travel and nature spark my imagination. That’s why we’ve packed our bags, loaded the tent, and set off for Picos de Europa, a breathtaking mountain range close to the Spanish Pyrenees.
At the summit, surrounded by dramatic cliffs, endless skies, and charming Spanish villages, my mind fills with new compositions, colors, and stories. Inspiration flows as freely as the mountain streams. My sketchbook is always within reach, tucked into my backpack, ready to capture fleeting ideas during short breaks on our hikes. There is something magical about sitting in a tent with the rain tapping all around, sketching by the glow of a small lamp. These quiet, raw moments in nature often lead to my most authentic creative breakthroughs.
Even while traveling, I continue to grow as an artist with the help of the Milan Art Institute in Florida, an online art school known for expressive painting techniques. Their classes travel with me, keeping me connected to my practice wherever I go. Blending these lessons with real-world inspiration helps me refine my style and deepen my creative voice.
While staying in northern Spain, I also hope to visit the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Museo de Bellas Artes de Asturias in Oviedo. For me, art and travel are inseparable—each journey brings new colors, textures, and emotions that become part of my work. The best souvenirs aren’t objects but the hues, stories, and memories I carry home in my sketchbook and in my heart. These experiences are already shaping my next art collection, and I look forward to sharing more of this journey with you soon.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that inspiration often comes when we step away from routine. The world itself becomes the canvas—the mountains, the rain, the museums, and the quiet moments in between. Travel and creativity go hand in hand, and I am ready to see where this path leads.
