ART TO PROTECT was founded by artist, author, and entrepreneur Bernadet Bijsterbosch, combining her lifelong passions for art, travel, and nature conservation.
After a successful international career in media and entrepreneurship, Bernadet chose to follow her dream of becoming a full-time artist. During her travels across the world, she experienced the incredible beauty of our planet’s rainforests, wildlife, and indigenous cultures. At the same time, she witnessed the growing challenges these precious ecosystems face and recognized the urgent need for sustainable support for conservation efforts.
Inspired by these experiences, she created ART TO PROTECT – a unique initiative that transforms creativity into long-term support for conservation projects. The mission is simple: use the power of art to create awareness, inspire people, and generate ongoing income for organizations that protect biodiversity and local communities.
